Pace Yourself For Fall

We just wrapped up the second annual Exhale Weekend here in Franklin, TN. Two hundred women gathered on the beautiful Willowbrook Farm to rest and receive. God met us in the most beautiful life changing ways.

With Fall upon us it's important to have a plan for a healthy self pace. You can't pour out if you're running on empty. Here are a few tips I'm sharing on Today In Nashville this morning to help you fully enjoy the changing season: 

Take A Walk Outside - Even a twenty minute walk a day has health benefits. It helps clear your mind and lowers stress levels. It also has an additional benefit of getting as much sunlight as you can before winter.

Get A Good Night's Sleep - It's one of those things we dream of but for most of us, it doesn't happen nearly as often as we'd like. A few things that can help are:

  • Give it to God. Psalm 46:10 says “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth.”  Let it go... the Word says when you seek, you will find HIm.. give Him all of your concerns. 
  • Stick to a sleep schedule.
  • Practice a relaxing bedtime routine.

Make A Plan - There are so many Fall activities and festivals. Sit down with your friends or family and choose the ones that you really want to go to and can fit in your schedule without adding more stress to an already busy season.
